Laramie isn’t too terrible, if you can deal with the high winds and nine months of snow. And, yeah the homes on the west side are decrepit and depressing- when you see actual homes. of a lot of mobile homes there, and all over Wyoming. But there’s great snowboarding/skiing, snowmobiling, there are a lot of great people there, surprisingly good restaurants, even vegetarian when I lived there (10 years ago, tho). Plus, it is a college town, so it offsets the dumb redneck factor.

OK, first, Wyoming isn’t terrible. But Cheyenne is. Second, Laramie is the most depressing place on the face of this earth, minus UW. I like how Laramie is presented as this cool-looking cowboy town. What about the streets that don’t get paved? What about the houses on the west side of the tracks? Like Hodgeman St.? Way to show a historic downtown building, UW and say Laramie is AMAZING! Yellowstone, the Tetons yes. Laramie NO!

And, nice rodeo. I think that’s Cheyenne Frontier Days. Not Laramie
