There are people in Dallas that have less than an acre, but call it a ranch. In the real world, if you can’t graze cattle on it, it AIN’T a ranch.

A ranch is not determined by size.
Depending on the animals you intend to put on the ranch determines how many acres you need.
If you had ferret ranch, it wouldnt need to be all that large
But a cattle ranch would require much more.

It is determined by the look and feel, not by size

Well, unless you have cattle or horses on it, in my opinion it wouldn’t matter if you had 200,000 acres it still wouldn’t be a ranch. We raise both and have approx. 4000 acres. We definitely call it a ranch.
