Ranch is 3500 acres(most is range land), no debt, 2 mil in equity, 300 head of cattle(half are yearlings i think).
Interesting that your asking this question. Sounds as if you are not a novice when it comes to ranching therefore business.
I have seen studies that say in 5 to 10 years there will be food shortages across the globe. Of course the driving force behind this is China and India.
For example, the billions of people in both of those country’s have subsided off of meager meals like rice and vegetables grown locally. Similar to 19th century America. [Grown locally not rice and vegetables] But now with the introduction of fast food to those markets, the need to supply beef in China, and other foods to India has quadrupled in the last three years alone. As one person in China commented while being interviewed at a McDonald’s, "My parents were lucky to eat beef once a week, and yet here I sit with one of many burgers I eat often" McDonald’s is fast food true, but also there are many more restaurants, and they are demanding more variety from their local markets.

Even if the agricultural business dies, land has value and that value will continue to grow.
