Light aircraft crashes in Solio ranch

http://www.ntv.co.keA pilot survived narrowly today when a light Kenya Wildlife Service aircraft crashed in Nyeri. The KWS pilot Captain Kenneth Mwiti sustained minor injuries after the plane he was flying crashed at the expansive Solio ranch in Nyeri.***** The pilot, was conducting aerial surveillance of wildlife at the ranch when the plane came down.The pilot was rushed to Nanyuki cottage hospital before he was transferred to armed forces memorial hospital in Nairobi with fractured limbs.Nyeri OCPD Kirunya Limbitu said the plane had flown from Mweiga airstrip in Nyeri and was on the wildlife surveillance before heading to the Nanyuki airstrip, when the accident occurred.

now if this was in Nairobi people would be all over the crash scene but at least here, the fence kept them at bay and let the professionals deal with the incident. 2 very contrasting scenerios. At least there were no casulties.
